Sorghum Fest Oct 1 and 2.  Hours 9:00 a. m. to 4:00 p. m. The main focus will be making molasses.  The process of cutting the sorghum, pressing out the juice and cooking the juice into the finished molasses product.  At the present time there is a very small core group committed to this process.  If you would like to join this group and be a part of this pioneer process, call 218-736-5086.

 

Oct 1 and 2 will be the only weekend for activities at the farm this year.  There will be a limited lunch provided throughout the day.  Molasses cookies and other products? will be available.  Other activities will be the apple press, children's seed art and possible goat milking.  Sorry but there will not be hay rides, a maze or farm tours. There may be a free will donation box.

 

Pumpkins, broom corn, corn shocks, and straw bales will be available at the farm Oct 1 and 2 as well as throughout the remainder of the fall.  Delivery is possible.

 

LINDIG FARM FALL VISIT FUTURE FOR SCHOOL GROUPS AND WEEKEND PUBLIC VISITS?  It would take a financial miracle to start it up again.  Insurance, preparation and event costs have made it impossible to continue.  It would take a large corporate contribution or grant.  And if that would happen------could resume in the future.
